The Kent Theatre Company
Edward II

Christopher Marlowe's best work, Edward II, was infamously banned from school curriculums across the country. It provoked television productions, theatre revivals and ballets throughout the world. With a cast of 20 actors, The Kent Theatre Company’s debut tour takes this powerful, bloody and violent classic back to Marlowe’s home county. Set in a 1940’s post apocalyptic England, this fast paced production colours vividly the original text of a king’s struggle to keep power in this dark and dilapidated world. Touring October-November 2009.
